Me and my blog

Hello Everyone:

I'm new at blogging so bare with me. I decided to blog in order to tell you of my love of photography. I'd like to say that for the rest of my life I would love to simply be behind the lens 24/7 but of course that thought wouldn't be realistic at this time since my family would miss me. One day though, when everyone is grown, my husband can do the driving, our dogs can relax in the back, and I can engross myself in what I love. I've learned lately that I must not let my passions slip away. And slip away they will not.

For the moment though, it's back to the family, you know, homework, projects etc. In my next post I will tell you the background of the photos I posted so far. So long for now.

Nikita is my sister's quarterhorse. This shot was taken on a beautiful fall day. The sunset is reflected in her eye.

Unpredictable Lake Simcoe

During the taking of this shot, Don, my brother-in-law told me how unpredictable this lake can be. His story began in his canoe, on the beautiful calm waters of the lake and within a very short time it turned into a tale of his canoe on the verge of capsizing on very high waves with winds whipping in every direction. Needless to say, in the short time it took him to enjoy the ride out, the ride home took hours due to the ever worsening conditions. Althought the lake is simply a spectacular site, boaters beware!

Brilliant Blue

This beautiful flower caught my eye while walking through a park in Barrie, Ontario. What a beautiful combination of colour. If anyone knows the name of this flower, please let me know.
